Guild National BBQ Event
Lucas had a strong presence at the Q Guild National Barbecue
Event which took place at the prestigious St. Pierre Park Hotel
in Chepstow on the weekend of the 2nd April.
As
a corporate member of the Q Guild, the Lucas team was invited
to set up a display and demonstration of some of our products.
The result was a display of 15 different sausages and burgers,
including five new flavours that are new for 2006 Sweet
Chilli, Lemon & Country Herb, Korma and Anniversary Sausage
Mixes, along with Caramelised Onion & Cracked Black Pepper
Burger Mix. Also on show were our Continental range,
all being excellent for barbecuing. These include Merguez, Boerewors,
Chorizo, Mexican Chilli, Bratwurst, Toulouse, Thai and Hickory
Smoke sausage mixes.
Steve
Derrick of Lucas was involved in the organisation of the event
from the beginning, working with the South West members of the
Guild. Judging on the day was headed by Franco Traruschio, the
nationally known chef, based in Wales.

The
event was followed in the evening by a dinner dance for all
those who participated.
