Today we are delighted to be launching our new exciting Easicoat Cheese & Cracked Black Pepper Coater!
Take a look at some of the latest developments happening at Lucas. In this, our News & Events section you will find a collection of recent news articles and a list of up and coming events.
Following the recent announcement of a planned relaxing of COVID restrictions, garden centres are, apparently, running out of furniture, pots, plants, firepits and barbecues. There’s been a run on fence paint and sales of outdoor picnic ware has rocketed.
If you haven’t come across “Katsu” yet, you certainly will before too long. This savoury crunchy crispy coating has featured in Japanese cuisine for generations. It’s similar in form to what is perhaps a bit more familiar – the German schnitzel.
In January 2021, we’ve launched two exciting new Easicoat Coaters along with a Butchers Classic Sausage Mix and a Smokehouse Sausage Mix. Even better, they’re all available to our customers right now!
As the lockdown goes on, so must we all – and more than ever, customers are relying on their local butcher to help them through these difficult times.
It’s so important these days to find something positive to talk about and choose how you look at it, it has to be something to celebrate that the Queen will reach her 95th birthday this year. We’re certainly celebrating, as Lucas will also be 95 this year!
2021 A New Year – A Time for New Ideas…
Hopefully, we will never experience another year like 2020 with its many difficulties for everyone. Hopefully, 2021 will be a year full of – just that – hope.
It’s certainly been a very tough year for everyone, but we wanted to take this opportunity to say a special thanks to all our customers in the butchery trade, who have made an amazing contribution throughout 2020.
This year, more than ever before, it will be important for butchers to stand out from the high street crowd and to come up with some cracking creative ideas that will make a stay-at-home Christmas much more interesting and enjoyable for your customers.
Halloween and Bonfire Night will certainly be completely different this year, with more and more households under limited lockdown and customers opting to stay indoors for perhaps the first time. This presents you, the butcher, with some great opportunities to make extra sales by catering for mini-events held indoors, or in the garden.
